We’re very proud to announce our 20th release on Skalator Music. It’s been quite a long journey until we reached this benchmark, always with the purpose of releasing new music that inspire us, and that we believe to embed the core values that make up the Drum and Bass scene. Celebrating this achievement, we continue our venture to discover homegrown talent and present you with a cracking 4 track E.P. by Zezalien.
Born and raised in Faro in 1996, José Rodriguez has been developing his skills as a DJ and producing beats since 2014. He’s one of the founding members of the Invasion Crew, playing regularly on their events in the Algarve. Artists that have influenced his productions are Alix Perez, Skeptical and Halogenix as they represent a true vision to the core deep sound.
This E.P. clearly embodies his take on minimal Drum and Bass, with cuts like “The Purge” and “Hooking The Beats” expressing his true form in this art, while “Dust It Off” and “Talismanic” push further into body-moving, dancefloor orientated styles.
